Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium (Big Lotus)
Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium, known as the “Big Lotus”, is located in the Hangzhou Olympic and International Expo Center on the south bank of the Qiantang River. It was the main venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Asian Games and Asian Para Games. It is a landmark project symbolizing Hangzhou’s transition from the “West Lake Era” to the “Qiantang River Era”, as well as a key provincial project and iconic structure in Zhejiang Province. The stadium covers an area of 430 mu, with a building height of 59.4 meters and a total floor area of 216,000 square meters. It consists of six above-ground floors and two underground floors, with a seating capacity of 80,800.
